Best coffee in Flinders Quarter Melbourne

“The smell of fresh-made coffee is one of the world’s greatest inventions.”

Hugh Jackman

Melbourne has an incredible coffee culture with some saying we have the best coffee in the world! There are so many incredible places to grab a coffee in the city, but three of our favourites in Melbourne’s Flinders Quarter stand out and are just a minute or two from our front door.

Tulip Located on Melbourne’s famous Degraves Street, is small, cute, simple and chic and serves up a consistently good brew. Named for the shape of a traditional coffee cup, Tulip’s motto is to keep things simple and unintimidating – but with great quality. And this they do well. Drop in and say Hi to Sam the owner, the tall dark haired guy with the friendly smile guaranteed to satisfy your caffeine fix and brighten your day.

Cup of Truth Tucked away in Cambell Arcade, down a flight of stairs off Flinders Street (in the subway below Flinders Street station) Cup of Truth is a subterranean gem, serving up some of the best coffee in Melbourne according to their die-hard fans. Not only do you get a spectacular cup, you’re guaranteed friendly service at this simple espresso bar, co-owned by The Age Good Food Guide’s 2013 Best Barista.

Dukes Just around the corner on Flinders Lane is revered amongst coffee aficionados. With a focus on the craft of carefully roasting the best coffees in the world using innovative and methodic roasting practices, they have a huge selection of exceptionally grown, amazing tasting and in-season specialty coffees. You can buy beans to take away, or just get an incredible cup of the black stuff, be warned you’ll have to queue up in the mornings!
